Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as, face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. 

Required Qualifications:

College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach courses in our first-year composition sequence, ENGLI 1101 and ENGLI 1102 in the Fall of 2024. While possible assignments may include teaching at our main campus in Glen Ellyn, we have particular need for instructors at our Centers in Westmont (morning and night) and Carol Stream (morning). Please indicate which campus is suitable.

• A master’s degree is required, preferably in English or Composition/Rhetoric. If the Master’s Degree is in a discipline or subfield other than English, then the candidate should have completed a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in English.
• Community College teaching experience is a plus.

Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred. Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments
