FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of English at Kingsborough Community College is seeking to hire Adjunct Lecturer, Adjunct Assistant Professor, Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Professor levels to teach First-Year Composition and ESL Courses, commencing the fall 2024 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who have strong credentials and teaching experience in both First-Year Composition and ESL.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:

An earned doctorate in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or ESL is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.

For Adjunct Lecturer:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Composition and Rhetoric, or ESL is required, as is the ability to teach successfully in various instructional modalities.

COMPENSATION

Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 – $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 – $106.41 per hour

Adjunct Associate Professor: $108.33 – $118.45 per hour

Adjunct Professor: $112.50 – $130.49 per hour

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
