Salary MinimumSalary MaximumSalary TypePer CreditBargaining Unit/Plan209, IFOJob DescriptionThe St. Cloud State University Intensive English Center (http://www.stcloudstate.edu/iec/) and English for Academic Purposes program seek to renew the pool of adjunct instructors available to teach courses in the IEC and/or EAP as needed. Applicants should be able teach English skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling, culture, and other courses for college aged and adult learners of ESL across various levels of language proficiency from beginning to advanced. Teaching assignments would vary depending on qualifications and departmental needs.
- Required Qualifications
- MA in TESL, Applied Linguistics, or related field
- Two or more years’ experience teaching a variety of English language skills and proficiency levels in a university/college based Intensive English Program and/or ESOL Bridge program
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to applicants with international English language teaching experience and knowledge of a language other than English.
