Adjunct Lecturer of TESL/EAPP/ESL

Description

Teach a variety of classes in the English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Teaching ESL, and English as a Second Language program. This is for the Summer 2020.

Qualifications

Required education:

Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language, linguistics, education, English, or other languages along with TESL courses

Required experience: 

• Two years of experience teaching English as a Second Language
• Ability to instruct diverse audiences
• Ability to effectively teach all areas of the English language
• Ability to teach education courses in the Louisiana ESL Endorsement series

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language
• Experience teaching abroad -Experience teaching higher education and graduate students
• Experience with oral proficiency using ACTFL or CEFR standards
• K-12 experience in the USA -Teacher certification
• Ph.D. in closely related area
