Job Summary Job Summary Provides assistance in any or all of the following areas: clerical, technical, instructional. Assist students either in an office or computer testing center. Assembles and sets up equipment, supplies, and work stations used to register and test students for placement into the English as a Second Language program and/or for providing support to an instructor in a lab setting. Tasks performed require technical competence with computer-based programs that track student attendance and progress. Detailed data entry is required for the maintenance of critical information necessary for essential record keeping. Requirements / Qualifications Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Requires graduation from high school or equivalent, and one year of clerical experience utilizing computer applications or providing instructional support to students.

• Completion of 48 semester units at an institution of higher education, or an associate’s (or higher) degree highly desirable. Incumbents hired into this classification, and who have completed (and provided proof) of this level of education will be assigned as an Adult Education Instructional Assistant at salary range 60.

Comments and Other Information PURPOSE To establish a list of eligible candidates for current and future part-time vacancies, valid for up to one year. Immediate vacancies include two 10-month, part-time positions (14 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 5 PM to 8:30 PM) at Simi Institute for Careers & Education in Simi Valley, California. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Completed applications must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Late applications and/or certificates will not be accepted.
