The International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) Anti-Trafficking Program supports survivors of human trafficking by providing client-centered, trauma-informed, and sustainable solutions tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances. IRC Sacramento will develop the capacity to serve human trafficking victims, under the age of 18, including foreign-born and domestic, sex, and labor, male, female, non-binary and 2SLGBTQI victims, throughout the Sacramento Area. This project will enable IRC Sacramento to create and maintain a robust anti-trafficking program, which includes community education, outreach and training to the Sacramento Community. The Anti-Trafficking team provides holistic, wraparound support to survivors, including connections to legal services, housing resources, transportation, public benefits, health providers, mental health and psychosocial services, and ongoing safety and service planning. Trainers help ensure that the wider network of stakeholders is equipped to recognize trafficking indicators and connect survivors to these essential supports.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Training and Outreach Specialist to deliver engaging, trauma‑informed presentations that educate communities about human trafficking prevention, identification, and response. This role is essential in raising awareness, strengthening community capacity, and promoting survivor‑centered approaches across multiple sectors.
The ideal candidate is an experienced communicator who can effectively engage diverse audiences, from youth and parents to law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
Position Overview
The Training and Outreach Specialist develops and delivers training to community partners, service providers, and other stakeholders on topics related to human trafficking, survivor identification, trauma-informed practices, and available resources. The Training and Outreach Specialist helps expand the community’s ability to respond appropriately and collaboratively to trafficking situations.

Other Internal and/or External contacts:
Internal: Training and Outreach Specialist will develop working relationships with direct service providers in the following IRC departments: Economic Empowerment, Community Wellness, Resettlement, Asylum & Integration, and Immigration.
External: Training and Outreach Specialist will develop working relationships with local legal providers, Sacramento County Social Services, healthcare providers, employment programs, anti-trafficking task forces, relevant consulates, law enforcement and prosecutors, and other community-based organizations to support achievement of program requirements.
Working Environment:
Compensation: (Pay Range: $26.00 – $27.00) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
