Qualifications:
Professional work experience in the subject area assigned.
Formal training and education in the subject area assigned.
Current and relevant industry license, certification or registration aligned with subjects assigned.
Demonstrated competency in the career and technical education subjects assigned.
General knowledge of design and delivery issues related to alignment for best results in student achievement.
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physically able to monitor student discipline and progress and meet other student needs as required.
Physically able to move about the room to perform formative assessments and adequately facilitate small and large group instruction.
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Equipment Used:
SMART Board, computer, printer, copier, overhead projector, DVD/VCR, graphing calculator, other specialized equipment that is particularly unique to the teaching assignment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned teacher aide(s) and student teacher(s).
Working Conditions:
Standing for long periods of time. Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing, i.e. relocating stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment. The level of mobility required depends upon the grade level of teaching assignment(s) and requirements thereof. Must maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate lifting required
This is a school district teaching permit position for Noncore Academic CTE courses. Individuals teaching under this permit must obtain at least 20 hours of classroom management training and comply with any other continuing education requirements determined by the local board of trustees.
Position is based on student enrollment.
