B.A. with specialization in a field relevant to the teaching of L2 English or Higher Certificate in L2 English Teaching. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college and/or university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with heterogeneous group.

An acceptable level of education/experience may be considered equivalent to the required training and/or demonstrated experience.   • – – Workshops are scheduled for October 1, November 5 and December 10 from 4:00-5:00pm.

Requirements:

This academic writing workshop series is designed for non-Anglophone professors and academic staff who would like to develop and improve their writing skills to effectively write and publish academic work in English. Workshops are scheduled for October 1, November 5 and December 10 from 4:00-5:00pm. Topics to be covered in the workshops include:

  • Reference material and resources for academic work
  • Principles of grammar, style and vocabulary development
  • Typical text models and manuscript analysis
