Course Description:

This course is offered to all University of Ottawa professors who are members of the APUO or APTUO. During this discussion series professors will have the opportunity to practice speaking in their second official language while sharing insights on best teaching practices with their peers. *Once the class is completed, if the learner has actively participated in at least 80% of the meetings, they will be eligible for a one-hour individual session with the instructor to review their own classroom material for a course that they teach in their second language.

From February 11 to April 1, 2025; Tuesday, 12:00pm to 1:30pm with individual hours between April 1 and 18, 2025. Please note that this course is given online (virtual mode).

B.A. with specialization in a field relevant to the teaching of L2 English or Higher Certificate in L2 French Teaching. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college and/or university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with heterogeneous group.
