Job Description
About the role:
Responsible for the unloading and rehouse of objects from across the collection as part of a major storage move project with a focus on archaeological assemblages, large objects including casts and sculptures, and textile collections.
This role is primarily technical. Problem solving is a key aspect of the role, and a flexible approach to working is essential.
Job Requirements
About you:
- Good general education including GCSEs or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity
- Understanding and appreciation of materials and objects
- Ability to work well as part of team.
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
- Demonstrable interest in aspects of the Museum’s collections
- Practical experience of hand tools, workshop equipment, pallet trucks and/or manual stackers (Desirable)
- Object or art handling and installation (Desirable)
