Self Clearing Broker-Dealer has an immediate opening for an individual who will hold the title of Assistant Financial Controller and will be responsible for assisting in the processing and filing their Focus Reports. This individual must have at least 2 years of experience in the role of Assistant Controller at a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer.Job Requirements (Must Have’s):

• Must have two (2) plus years at a Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer in the role of Assistant Controller.
• Must have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP financial reporting.
• Must have an active Series 27.
• CPA is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• The Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer Assistant Controller is responsible for processing the accounting and Regulatory reporting for the Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer, providing leadership and coordination of the Self-Clearing Broker-Dealer network.
• Assisting in the processing and filing Focus reports.
• Ensuring that company’s accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting procedures accepted accounting principles.
• Forecast’s firm’s financial position including income statements, balance sheets, and analysis of future revenues, expenses and earnings.
• Assist Accounting, Compliance and Legal when necessary.
• Prepare various regulatory filings for FINRA, SEC and other SRO’s as necessary.
• Monthly accounting responsibility for certain balance sheet and P/L accounts.

Expected salary

$100000 – 125000 per year
