Appointment TypeNon-Tenure-track/ContractLength of AppointmentFT Academic YearDescriptionThe Department of Elementary Education is seeking a full-time contract faculty member. Primary responsibilities include teaching on-campus undergraduate courses in elementary education, partnering with school and community agencies, and performing other duties assigned by the department chairperson.

Minimum QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment. At least three years (6 academic semesters / 24 months) of elementary level classroom teaching experience.

Authorization to work in the USCandidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsDoctoral degree in Elementary Education or related field from an accredited institution, university teaching experience, knowledge and experience working with diverse learners, experience partnering with schools and/or community agencies, teaching experiences with preservice teachers in the field, and knowledge of shifts in literacy practices (i.e., Science of Reading).
