Offer Description
The tasks of the Assistant Professor post holder for the project will include:
1. Determination of the expression of GluRs at the transcript level in the cancer and normal lines studied.
2. Determination of expression of GluRs selected in (1) at the protein level in lysates of tested cells.
3. Determination of surface expression of the selected GluRs in the tumour cells studied.
4. Silencing of the protein kinase genes CK2, PKA and PKC.

Skills/Qualifications
1) to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent;
2) possession of a phd in chemical or biological sciences, or related field;
3) very good knowledge of the english and polish languages;
4) high motivation for scientific work, independence, creativity, good organization skills;
5) documented scientific achievements in the form of publications in peer reviewed journals;
6) experience in the field of genetic engineering, in particular in the application of the following methods:
– PCR (design of primers, optimisation of reaction conditions),
– QPCR (isolation of RNA, reverse transcription, design of primers, optimisation of QPCR reaction conditions, processing of results),
– gene silencing in mammalian cells using siRNA.
Experience in working with antibodies (elisa, immunoblotting) and in using CRISPR/Cas9 technique for gene silencing in mammalian cells is welcome.

E) Fulfilment of the condition referred to in Article 209, paragraph 10, item 2 or 3 of the Act – if applicable.
