The Department of Mathematics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a Tenure Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mathematics and Statistics beginning July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is the Waterloo campus; however, teaching responsibilities may include instruction at the Brantford and Milton campuses via in-person or virtual delivery.

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $135,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.

Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision. The successful candidate is expected to contribute service to the University and academic community, and to scholarly and/or professional activities.

Qualifications
• hold a Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, statistics or a closely related area,
• demonstrate an excellent research record and the potential to build a strong, independent research program in mathematics or statistics,
• preference will be given to applicants working in Pure or Applied Mathematics or any area that supports the Department’s programs,
• demonstrate an excellent teaching record or show strong evidence of potential excellence in teaching.

• teaching dossier that includes a statement addressing teaching experience in mathematics or statistics, and
