Position Summary

The Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor of Teaching position effective either Fall 2023. This is a 9-month non-tenure-track appointment. Hiring is contingent on final budget approval.

Effectively delivering course instruction, evaluating student learning, participating in related department activities, and complying with all College and University regulations. Assistant Professors of Teaching normally teach up to five 3-credit courses per semester. For this position, the instructor will be responsible for teaching on-ground and/or on-line sections that could include MKTG 3410: Building Buyer/Seller Relationships, MKTG 4410: Sales Management, MKTG 4470: Essentials of Negotiation and other classess as needed. Additional duties include creating and delivering sales-relevant training in our new Center for Arts Integration in Business Performance.

Minimum Position Qualifications

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Marketing (or highly related discipline) from an AACSB Accredited institution will be considered. Candidates must have proven experience teaching sales, sales management and negotiation.
