The Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) Division of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver Campus) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position in Management Information Systems at the rank of Assistant Professor.
Applicants should have completed or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. in information systems or a related field and have a demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching. We welcome applications from outstanding candidates who have a strong interest in understanding the everchanging role of IT/IS.
Duties include developing and maintaining an active research program aimed at making a significant contribution to the academic profession, to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Management Information Systems Group and the Sauder School of Business. Teaching and service requirements are similar to other research-intensive universities.
Candidates will be expected to teach courses such as management information systems, cybersecurity, IT project management, database management systems, business programming and analytics, or other relevant courses that support our business technology management and business analytics curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
