The FC Manning School of Business is home to over 600 students from over 20 countries and to over 30 full-time and part time faculty members from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – Accounting
Position # 30124: Acadia’s F.C. Manning School of Business invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor for an appointment with a start date of July 1, 2025.
The ideal candidate will have a Canadian Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, a graduate degree (masters or Ph. D) with a focus in accounting or closely related area, and significant industry experience. Applicants with only a CPA or a graduate degree will be considered.
The successful candidate’s teaching responsibilities will be a mix of courses across all years of the program for financial accounting and managerial accounting. Based on the candidate’s experience and interests, they may also teach in other areas (e.g. auditing and/or taxation). Evidence and commitment to excel in both teaching and research is essential, including the potential to contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation in areas such as experiential and technology-enhanced learning. Commensurate with their interests and experience, the successful candidate will also fulfill service roles that contribute positively to the School of Business, Acadia University as a whole, and outside professional communities. This includes providing career advice to students and maintaining active relationships with employers and professional governing bodies such as the CPA Atlantic School of Business.
