The School of Business at the University of Washington Bothell invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Marketing beginning on September 16, 2025. The position is full-time (100% FTE) with a nine-month academic service period. The initial appointment is 3 years. The Assistant Teaching Professor position is not eligible for tenure.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in marketing and retail management (MaRCom) and/or related fields at campuses in Bothell and Bellevue to include teaching in multiple modalities including online, hybrid and in-person, and in a campus setting with a diverse student body, many of whom are first generation college students. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute as an engaged colleague to serve our growing school and campus and sustain currency and relevancy through scholarship and activities related to their field.
A successful candidate will provide significant service-level involvement: from serving on admissions committees, school and campus level councils, to helping develop a proposed Masters in Analytics program. They will provide supervision of independent studies and interships. The successful candidate will contribute to teachings in the school’s executive education programs by developing appropriate course content. This position will be expected to teach upper level undergraduate and MBA courses in marketing intelligence, new product marketing, marketing analytics, marketing management, and other courses.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field. (or foreign equivalent)
- Expertise in data analysis
The Assistant Teaching Professor position is not eligible for tenure. The base salary range for this position will be $11,111 – $13,333 per month ($100,000 – $120,000 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

UW Bothell School of Business
The UW Bothell School of Business is accredited by AACSB and is deeply committed to the success of its faculty in research, teaching and service. The School of Business is well known for its undergraduate, MBA and MS Accounting programs. We work closely with industry leaders as well as the smaller, innovative, and rapidly growing companies in software, electronic commerce, medical equipment, biotechnology, electronics, and aerospace. Our programs draw from companies such as Microsoft, Boeing, Costco, Amazon, Expedia, Philips and Starbucks. We also have a facility, in the Bellevue College campus, WA. All faculty members in the School of Business should expect to teach at both the Bothell and Bellevue locations.
We have a sizeable marketing option and concentration, and a small undergraduate program in Retail Management and teach all the business communication courses for the school.
