Position TitleAssistant Teaching Professor of Biology-BiostatisticsAbout this OpportunityThe Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for a fixed term (non-tenure) faculty position in Biology for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Appointment TypeNon-Tenure-track/ContractLength of AppointmentFT Academic YearDescriptionThe successful candidate will be able to teach biometry and biostatistics at the undergraduate and graduate level. Other teaching assignments may include introductory biology or upper-level courses. The strongest candidates will have a track record of teaching biostatistics at the undergraduate and graduate level. Applicants with broad training in statistics are encouraged to apply.

Minimum QualificationsEarned doctorate in biological sciences or related field from an accredited college or university by date of appointment; effective written and oral communication skills; commitment to excellence in teaching; and competency in current research concepts and approaches.

Authorization to work in the USCandidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated teaching ability in biostatistics using student-centered learning techniques; Evidence of teaching ability, as demonstrated by student or peer evaluation summaries. Evidence of scholarly activity, as demonstrated by publications.
