Summary of Responsibilities 

The Elliott School of Communication invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor who will predominantly design and teach asynchronous graduate courses to prepare secondary education teachers to earn an endorsement in speech communication. Additional responsibilities include recruiting graduate students to enroll in the courses, teaching other courses in the department, as needed, and service to the department, as assigned.

This is non-tenure track position. Faculty with a terminal degree will begin with rank of Assistant Teaching Professor; faculty with non-terminal degree will begin with the rank of Assistant Educator. Both ranks include opportunities for promotion. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal.

Minimum Education 

Ph.D. degree in communication or related field (applicants close to completing the degree will be considered).

Minimum ExperienceTwo years of experience teaching communication courses at the college level.

Proposed Salary or Hourly Rate Salary range is $45,000 to $50,000 annually
