The Opportunity

Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for the Associate Medical Director, Product Lifecycle Support, within our Global Medical Operations

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Associate Medical Director (AMD), Global Medical Operations will participate in activities supporting the business related to all stages of assay development and on-market operations, including design of assays, data analysis, pre-market activities including regulatory submission, pre-launch activities and continued on-market support of launched assays both within the US and outside the US. This is truly a global medical role.

The Associate Medical Director will assist the Medical Director in writing medical opinions, participating in risk management activities, providing clinical assessments within the context of diagnostics.

The Associate Medical Director will also participate in activities related to development and launch of Core Diagnostic assays, sitting in on and collaborating with cross-functional teams within R&D and Operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides medical and scientific input for new assay development
  • Contributes to review of literature, review of IVDR and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Participates in CFTs related to complaints and adverse events, AE reporting, risk analysis and safety monitoring.
  • Provide medical support and input for submissions to the regulatory agencies and other regulatory/quality/compliance activities related to our Core Diagnostics assays.
  • Participate in IVDR and Post-market surveillance activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING:

Required:

  • Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited clinical residency program
  • minimum of 1-2 years post-residency clinical practice

Preferred:

  • >5 years independent clinical practice
  • >2 years diagnostics or medical device industry experience
  • Clinical background with knowledge/expertise/experience in diagnostic and treatment algorithms and pathways, clinical practice guidelines, and medical decision making based on diagnostic test results.
  • Experience and knowledge of medical devices diagnostic industry(s) is a plus.
  • Knowledge/experience in clinical and scientific research methodology
  • Strong management/leadership skills, excellent written and oral communication skills Contribute to a culture of collaboration, transparency, professionalism and respect
  • Be a team player, bring a positive energy to the group, and understand the tenants of servant leadership.
  • Ability to both receive and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, cross-functionally and in a fast-paced changing environment, where projects and activities can shift based on business needs.

The base pay for this position is

$118,000.00 – $236,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
