Role Overview

As an Associate/Medical Director at IQVIA, you’ll bring your medical, clinical, and scientific expertise to various divisions within our organization. You’ll actively contribute to the medical science aspects of assigned trials, acting as a trusted medical expert throughout project delivery. Additionally, you’ll provide therapeutic and medical insights during business development activities. This is a multifaceted role that spans across multiple therapeutic areas, offering you a diverse and stimulating professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Global Medical Advisor on assigned projects, providing invaluable medical insights.
• Act as a Scientific Advisor, offering guidance to Project Leaders on medical and scientific aspects.
• Provide medical support to investigative sites and project staff, addressing protocol-related issues and ensuring patient safety.
• Conduct medical review of protocols, Investigative Drug Brochures (IDBs), and Case Report Forms (CRFs).
• Deliver specialized Dermatology therapeutic area/indication training to the project clinical team.
• Participate in Investigator Meetings and deliver impactful presentations.
• Review and clarify trial-related Adverse Events (AEs) to maintain safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Pharmacovigilance department to review Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) and contribute to the Analysis of Similar Events (AOSE).
• Perform medical review of adverse event coding.
• Review Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and patient narratives for accuracy and quality.
• Attend important meetings such as Kick-Off, weekly team, and client meetings.
• Be available round-the-clock to address urgent protocol-related issues at investigative sites.
• Regular national and international travel may be required to fulfil the responsibilities of this role.

Do You Have What It Takes?

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualification, skill, and experience criteria:

• Hold a Medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school with relevant curriculum.
• Possess a current medical license or its equivalent in your residing country.
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical medicine.
• Accumulate at least 4 years of clinical trials experience as an investigator or within the Pharma, CRO, or Biotech industry.
• Hold Specialty Board certification or residency in Internal Medicine or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate robust and up-to-date knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, commercial, and competitive landscape in your applicable therapeutic area.
• Exhibit familiarity with applicable federal and local regulations and guidelines governing clinical research.
