Major/Essential Functions
The successful applicant will be a member of the TTUHSC School of Medicine Cancer Center Developmental Therapeutics Program and will carry out laboratory research in the area of preclinical evaluation with models of childhood cancer solid tumors of investigational anti-neoplastic drugs. The successful candidate is expected to carry out grant-funded preclinical testing of pediatric solid tumors; candidates interested in sarcomas are preferred. The candidate will also be expected to develop and submit grants to support the laboratory research, and to provide limited teaching of medical students, graduate students, and clinical fellows. The candidate will also be expected to collaborate with other TTUHSC faculty working in the area of cancer developmental therapeutics.

Required Qualifications
PhD or MD/PhD degree.
A minimum of 10 years experience at carrying out preclinical testing of anti-neoplastic agents in mouse xenograft models of childhood cancers.
A strong peer-reviewed publication record in the area of pediatric cancer drug testing.
Candidate must have a strong track record of grant funding and be PI or MPI on at least one NCI grant.
