Position Description
The School Psychology program in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership in the College of Education at Seattle University seeks applications for a full-time assistant professor (tenure-track) in our NASP-accredited Educational Specialist in School Psychology program. This position begins September 2025. The School Psychology program at Seattle University prepares ethical and reflective school psychologists who lead and advocate for social justice in diverse school settings.
Primary responsibilities for this position include teaching school psychology graduate courses, scholarship, and service to the program, the department, the College of Education, Seattle University, and to the profession. The individual will teach and advise students in graduate level courses aligned to the candidate’s expertise and interests. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, social justice, and culturally responsive practices in their teaching, scholarship, and service. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, student mentorship and support, the university mission, and the program’s social justice/equity aspirations.

Compensation at a Glance:
Salary Range: $75,000-80,000 base salary depending on rank and experience at hire.
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate’s gender or any other protected status.
