About our Team

Cirium Ascend offers aviation market intelligence, advisory services, and valuations. Experts provide reliable insights to help clients make informed decisions with accurate data. You will work as part of the Cirium Ascend team of over 30 employees, based globally. Ascend has been delivering aviation data and appraisals for over 50 years. Our appraisals are used globally to value in excess of 100,000 aviation assets annually.

About the Role

As an intern with Cirium Ascend, you’ll assist with aviation valuations and market studies. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing data, performing market reviews, and supporting advisory projects. Additionally, you’ll assist with routine maintenance of databases and internal projects. This is an exciting opportunity that will enable you to gain real-life work experience and prove yourself to future employers.

Location: New York City

Duration of internship: Flexible but a minimum of two months. Ideally, three months is necessary to benefit both the Intern and the Cirium Ascend team.

Starting date of internship: Flexible, but from May 2024 onwards (earliest), with full flexibility on duration.

This is a paid internship that includes a grant from the ISTAT Foundation.

Responsibilities

Collecting and processing data to support valuations and market studies.

Analyzing aircraft transaction data and produce charts with value trends.

Performing market reviews on an aircraft-type basis and propose revised values.

Researching potential methods of statistically estimating future aircraft values and lease rates.

Assisting with advisory projects, market updates, presentations, and webinars.

Reviewing internal databases to ensure maintenance costs for all aircraft are up to date.

Supporting internal projects such as reviewing, organizing, sanitizing, and analyzing data sets.

Requirements

Have a numerate background (engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science, or accounting). At minimum should be a university/college graduate.

Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a working knowledge of SQL and Python

Possess good communication skills and a keen interest in aviation.

Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to process large volumes of data.

Display capability (or eagerness) to develop and safeguard a viewpoint is an advantage.

The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for NYC.$18,900.00 – $31,600.00
