Job Description

Good day, everyone!

Here at Dance&Arts, we are currently looking for a warm and reliable teacher to lead our Ballet & Stretching Afterschool Club for Reception-aged children.

The club runs on two days (Monday and Tuesday) and both sessions take place in the same primary school. Applicants are welcome to express interest in teaching just one day or both days, depending on availability.

Please see the details below:

Club: Ballet & Stretching Afterschool Club
Schedule:

  • Every MONDAY, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

  • Every TUESDAY, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
    (Both sessions are held in the same school – applicants may apply for one or both days)

Duration:

  • Monday: Starting the 5th of January until the 23rd of March (10 sessions total)

  • Tuesday: Starting the 6th of January until the 24th of March (10 sessions total)

Location: Primary school in the Clapton area E5
Students: Reception (ages 4-5 years old)
Pay: £35 per hour

ESSENTIAL: Enhanced DBS check, commitment, and high reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Passion for teaching young children (ages 4-5)

  • Experience teaching ballet, creative movement, or stretching to Early Years

  • Gentle, patient, and encouraging teaching approach

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one – guidelines provided)

  • Right to Work in the UK

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver fun, age-appropriate ballet and stretching sessions

  • Support physical development, coordination, and confidence

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

  • Encourage participation through music, imagination, and movement
