Job Description

Good day, everyone!

Here at Dance&Arts, we are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic instructor to lead our Basic Gymnastics (Mat-Based Only) Afterschool Club for young children.

Please see the details below:

Club: Basic Gymnastics (Mat-Based Only) Afterschool Club
Schedule: Every THURSDAY, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Duration: Starting the 8th of January until the 26th of March (10 sessions total – half-term excluded)
Location: Primary school in the Clapton area E5
Students: Reception (ages 4-5 years old)
Pay: £40 per hour

ESSENTIAL: Enhanced DBS check, commitment, and high reliability.

Job Requirements

  • Passion for teaching young children (ages 4-5)

  • Experience in basic gymnastics or early years physical activity (mat-based only)

  • Ability to deliver safe, structured, and engaging sessions

  • Strong classroom and group management skills

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one – guidance provided)

  • Right to Work in the UK

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, mat-based gymnastics sessions

  • Support physical development, balance, coordination, and confidence

  • Ensure all activities are safe and inclusive

  • Maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment
