Job Summary Job Summary Tucked away in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District, St. Peter’s Catholic School has been educating the neighborhood’s children since 1878. The school community is seeking a qualified Bilingual (English and Spanish) Kindergarten Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The applicant will be required to teach the following subjects in a selfcontained Dual-Language Immersion (DLI) classroom: Spanish Language Arts, Religion, and Math in Spanish; English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies in English. This Kindergarten class will be the inaugural DLI class at St. Peter’s School. Qualifications and job description Candidates must possess: · A Bachelors degree · A valid California Teaching credential* (or a reciprocal credential from another state) · Bilingual Teaching Certification* · Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish · Classroom management skills · Teaching experience with children · Organization to plan age-appropriate lessons in Spanish and English · Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills with parents, faculty, and students · Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis · Commitment to excellence and rigor * If the candidate does not yet possess a valid California teaching credential or Bilingual Teaching Certification, (s)he must acquire credential/certification within five years of the date of hire.
