Blue Cabin Trustees

Blue Cabin develops and strengthens relationships between care experienced individuals and the people in their lives through trauma informed creative activities.

We support care experienced people to develop positive relationships, understand their past and express their hopes for the future. We’re the only creative charity in England that focuses all its work on care experienced people.

We are seeking two new trustees, as we enter our fourth year as a registered charity.

We would especially love to hear from you if you identify as being care experienced, as we want to make sure that our organisation is led by the community we serve.

We’re also looking for people with expertise in social work or local authority work; or finance and accounting; or evaluation and impact.

For whoever we select, we will provide a full induction, help you understand the role and responsibilities of being on a board, and we will shape the way we hold meetings and run the board to meet the access requirements of its members.

Trustees are not paid, but all reasonable expenses are covered. Appointments are for three years, in the first instance. We are based in the North East of England, hold our board meetings online, and have up to two board away days in person per year.
