Job Description
The board treasurer will join a small board and advise the company duo Helen Foan & Marie Fortune, on general financial matters for the company and productions. They will be required at 4 meetings a year, 1 of which will be in person in London. You will provide oversight and advice on the company’s finances and production budgets on a limited ad hoc basis.
The right candidate will benefit from expanding their theatrical community and have a love of all things puppetry and theatre.
Job Requirements
Time commitment: 4 meetings per year in London / Occasional ad hoc support (Optional theatre visits and social events)
Purpose of the Role: To work with Artistic Directors, Helen and Marie on the management and reporting of the organisation’s finances.
Essential:
Strong financial literacy
Experience developing project budgets
An interest in theatre (bonus points if you love puppets!)
Desirable:
Experience applying for Arts Council funding or funding grants of any kind
An understanding of the financial and accounting responsibilities of an CCG (Constituted Community Group)
