Our Dallas-based client is hiring for a Business Systems Analyst for a 6+ month, hybrid/remote, contract opportunity requiring strong analytical skills, and experience with business systems analysis is critical.CONTRACT PAY: Up to $60/hour depending on candidate’s experience, etc.WHAT CAN BCT OFFER YOU?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create documentation, process models, and presentations to facilitate the understanding of application functionality.
- Collaborate with business subject matter experts, IT staff & other key stakeholders to elicit & document stakeholder, solution (functional, non-functional) & transition requirements.
- Create system specifications, including data flow diagrams, user interface design, and system architecture based on gathered requirements.
- Review requests for changes in conjunction with key business partners as part of the formal change management process.
- Escalate project issues and risks, facilitates issue resolution, follows project change control procedures, and lead the analysis and estimation of project change requests.
- Work with users to define and document project goals and requirements. Provide technical assistance to IT staff in identifying, evaluating, and developing IT system needs and procedures to meet project requirements.
- Review application roadmap to evaluate product release functionality, and research industry trends & best practices to determine the feasibility of a specific upgrade path.
- When appropriate, creates and maintains Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation. Ensures control documents and processes are completed according to SOX guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, system design, or project management.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Office Suite).
- Strong understanding of how systems function, including functional requirements, process flow, and some technical designs (e.g., integration mapping).
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
