Are you passionate about linking people with nature? Can you envisage an accessible network of
paths and information centres that people of all backgrounds could visit and understand more
about the landscapes of West Yorkshire? By engaging a range of stakeholders and sharing your
knowledge and enthusiasm, you will help to create a 20 year Landscape Development Plan for the
Colne and Upper Calder Valleys.

EPIKS is working with partners from Calderdale and Kirklees Councils, Calder Rivers Trust and
Moors for the Future to produce a landscape-scale plan: a blueprint for a nature-rich, climate
resilient mosaic of connected habitats across 10,000 hectares of the Colne and Upper Calder
Valleys in West Yorkshire. Your role in the CCaLL project will involve the creation of a Site
Access Plan so that people can walk, wheel and ride along routes from the valley towns to the
South Pennine uplands, helping people of all backgrounds to experience and understand
sustainable agriculture, ecosystems and land use and enjoy a wildlife-rich environment close to
where they live.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised and systematic and enjoys talking and
listening to people of all ages and backgrounds who will benefit from walking, cycling and
wheeling in the area. Your fact-finding will enable people to understand the potential of the
Colne and Calder Landscape Links area, working with a team who will use their design and
mapping experience to create an inclusive Site Access Plan by December 2025. You will be
well-versed in partnership working and engaging people from a range of sectors and backgrounds.
You will be able to record and present the results and conclusions of your findings in a clear
and concise manner. Working with others you will also explore and propose new funding streams
to support the implementation of the access improvements within the Landscape Development
Plan.

The role offers an office base in Huddersfield, with options for flexible working and working from home.

Closing date is midnight on Saturday 4th May 2024

Interviews will be on 7th and 9th May 2024 in Huddersfield or via Teams
