Call for Playwrights: 20-Minute Plays Needed!

4 Playwrights, 2 Actors, 1 Relationship.

Caromoon Productions are creating an evening of theatre based on one relationship written by four playwrights. To submit, you must write a short play one of the below sections. You are able to write on more than one, but please note only one play per writer will be selected. Your work will join three other selected plays, each telling a pivotal moment in their journey together to form one play.

Choose One of the Following Sections to Write On:

1. The First Date – The sparks, the nerves, the beginning of something new.
2. An Intimate Moment – A scene capturing vulnerability, closeness, and connection.
3. A Rift in the Relationship – Conflict, tension, and the challenges that test their bond.
4. The End of the Relationship – The final chapter, where things unravel or conclude.

Submission Guidelines:

• Play Length: 20 minutes max.
• Theme: Must explore a selected moment in the relationship between Julia and Alex.
• Characters: Plays must only have Julia and Alex, as there are only two actors.
• Format: One-act play, set (two chairs and one table) and minimal prop requirements preferred.
