Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opening – Lake Charles, LA

A full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon is needed to join an established surgical team in Southwest Louisiana. The position offers collaboration with experienced Nurse Practitioners and surgeons in a modern surgical facility equipped with a Hybrid OR suite, robotic surgical systems, and advanced monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities

• Emphasis on adult cardiac surgery, including open and minimally invasive procedures
• Perform TAVR, robotic Da Vinci thoracic surgery, and catheter-based interventions (TEVAR)
• Participate in multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program and structural heart procedures
• Collaborate with NPs, cardiologists, and a growing cardiovascular team
• Teaching and research opportunities available

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Broad skill set across adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
• Experience or interest in aortic surgery and catheter-based therapies preferred
• Eligible for Louisiana medical license
