Job Summary:
The Cashier/Runner at Brickstones is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and ensuring their dining experience is efficient and enjoyable. This is a full-time, entry-level position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown in Knoxville, Tennessee. As an individual contributor, the Cashier/Runner will work closely with the front-of-house and kitchen staff to maintain high-quality service and uphold the standards of Brickstones.Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers an hourly rate of $13 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis. The successful candidate will also have access to the benefits package offered by Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown.Responsibilities:
– Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, communicating any specials or promotions as needed
– Accurately and efficiently process guest dining orders using a POS system
– Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper change and accurate payment processing
– Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, including cash drawers and merchandise displays
– Prepare and serve food and beverages as necessary, including making specialty coffee drinks and scooping ice cream
– Assist in bussing tables and resetting for incoming guests
– Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
– Attend all required training sessions and staff meetings
– Perform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in cash handling and customer service preferred
– Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
– Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
– Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 30lbs for extended periods of timeEEOC Statement:
