Effective July 31, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit M16 and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 4.62% percent and will receive 8-hours PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through December 1, 2026. CCHCS seeks to fill a permanent/full-time Chief Dentist, Correctional Facility, position in the Dental Program.
Under the direction of the Statewide Dental Director (SDD), CCHCS, the Chief Dentist (CD), Correctional Facility (CF), Quality Management/Utilization Review (QM/UR), manages, organizes and administers the QM/UR Unit of the Adult Correctional Dental Care (ACDC) program. The CD, CF, QM/UR is responsible for all clinical aspects of the Care Coordination Committee activities, reviews and actions for statewide clinical operations QM/UR compliance measures. The CD, CF, QM/UR oversees projects and activities of the ACDC program including the Dental Program Health Care Review Committee (DPHCRC), the Dental Authorization Review (DAR) Committee and all ACDC program contract management activities. Additionally, the CD, CF, QM/UR oversees, manages and organizes the Dental Supply Formulary (DSF), the statewide dental equipment refresh program, and all dental equipment processes necessary to maintain statewide dental operations.
This position is located in the Dental Program, which provides complete oral health care services to patients within all of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s 31 institutions statewide.
