Recruiting for a Chief Exec who would relish working with a small smallish music and dementia charity in Gloucestershire that punches well above its weight.

Job Description

Our longstanding Chief Exec is retiring so we are looking for a new CEO We are a Gloucestershire charity focused on music and dementia from diagnosis to end of life. Mindsong is, we like to think, a pretty unique organisation. Not only because of the work that we do but in the way we work. We believe we have built a model that delivers excellent services and has the flexibility to grow. We are proud of where we are and are looking for the right person to take us into the next stage of our development. Our team is dedicated, passionate, committed, talented and experienced and is a joy to work alongside. We are looking for a CEO who would relish working with us and appreciate being a part of it. You would be a strategic, entrepreneurial thinker with fresh ideas to bring to the table. Someone with excellent people skills, who can inspire and nurture, provide oversight and management expertise as well as leading on fundraising and financial sustainability. Job Requirements

Skills and Experience Proven experience in senior leadership within the charity sector – arts would be a bonus. Knowledge and understanding of the county and its makeup. Knowledge and understanding of creative health and its role alongside the NHS. Strong financial acumen and experience of budget setting and management. A track record of multiple successful fundraising bids. Excellent communication skills. Experience of compliant data protection and security. An understanding and some experience of promotion and marketing. Experience of working with a Board and partners both public and Third Sector. Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate whilst also taking difficult decisions when needed. Personal Attributes A passionate advocate for the role of music in health and for the Third Sector. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style – a good listener. An empathetic, confident and clear communicator. Integrity and commitment to equity and diversity.
