How can you make a difference?
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Representative, the Chief Resource Mobilization and Partnerships will be accountable for tasks related to maintaining, and growing, the donor base in support of programming. This will include implementing the Country Office’s resource mobilization strategy and the production and quality assurance of donor updates, reports and proposals.
Under the general guidance of the Representative the Chief Resource Mobilization and Partnerships will also be responsible for leading the proactive securing and development of new, high value/ high impact partnerships with the corporate sector as well as managing and growing existing partnerships National Committees. The Staff member will work cross functionally with other team members, multiple UNICEF Divisions, and colleagues in Cote D’Ivoire in order to drive the approach of developing high impact new partnerships and retain existing in order to mobilize resources for Cote D’Ivoire Country Office and realize UNICEF’s strategic goals.
Expectations are that the post holder will manage a resource mobilization pipeline, continually monitoring progress and volume as agreed with the Representative. The incumbent will also undertake a variety of tasks related to contribution management, ensuring that donor relationships remain strong through maintenance of a database of donor-related documents (proposals, reports, correspondence, agreements etc), increased monitoring of donor conditions, monitoring of expenditure levels, addressing expenditure concerns or issues as needed, and other related tasks.

IMPACT OF RESULTS
The Chief Resource Mobilization and Partnerships is an authoritative expert in the field of external relations, partnership development and resource mobilization. The quality of work and external communications performed by the Manager directly impacts on the overall reputation of UNICEF.
She/He is accountable for (a) convincing management of the utility of improved approaches (b) contributing to strategy planning (c) identifying and building effective partnerships with member states, UN agencies, NGOs, host government and other partners, in order to keep them informed on important, strategic operational UNICEF issues (d) providing advice to UNICEF based on analysis of current political and social events and information of programme activities gathered from partner agencies i.e. member states, UN agencies, NGOs, host government and other partners.
