Borg Compressed Steel is a leading provider of scrap metal processing, recycling services in the Tulsa, OK area. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Class A Local Truck Driver to join our team. This position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be part of a growing company.Job Summary:The Class A Local Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a commercial motor vehicle, primarily a roll-off and flatbed within the Tulsa metropolitan area. This position involves transporting materials to and from customer sites, processing facilities, and other designated locations. The driver must adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Transport materials, such as scrap metal and recycled materials to and from designated locations, including customer sites, processing facilities, and landfills.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance, including logs, pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition. Report any defects or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, traffic laws, and hours of service requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck cab.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 full year of experience operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle (preferred/required – specify).
• Experience with roll-off trucks and flatbeds is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as needed.
