Hiring Unit: Ingram School of Nursing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Ingram School of Nursing Communications Office is looking to hire a part‐time Communications Assistant for website and logistical assistance. The successful candidate will work with the Communications Officer and other
affiliated staff to maintain the ISoN website, prepare digital display ads and social media posts, organize logistics for video project, contribute to the development and distribution of the bi‐weekly e‐newsletter.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include :
Under the direction of the Communications Officer, the assistant participates in the smooth functioning of the unit’s operations.
Responsibilities include:
•Posting news items, visuals and events online to the ISoN website, Envoke and social media platforms
• Updating existing website content (e.g. faculty directory, program information)
• Researching, retrieving and posting credible news about nursing published online
• Providing ongoing logistical Event support
• Supporting special projects and assisting with organizing key Office processes, including related templates and
contact information, etc.
• Providing general administrative support.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current undergraduate student in any discipline (preferred)
English‐French bilingualism
Experience with Content Management Systems and website maintenance
Skills in searching multiple types of information environments
Education or experience in one of the following domains: communications, library and information studies, knowledge
management, web systems, usability or marketing
OTHER QUALIFYING SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:
Experience with SharePoint sites/MS Teams (asset)
Familiarity with marketing email platforms (asset)
Basic familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop (asset)
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience
Hourly Salary:
(AMUSE C) $28.00
