General Scope

The Emergency Communications Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of all daily operations in the Communications Center for the assigned shift. The Supervisor is charged with making decisions as to resource management, handling escalated issues from callers/facilities, and managing the staff working in the Center.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2 years of experience as a Dispatcher/Call Taker
• Working knowledge of Communications Center Operations
• Exceptional area knowledge
• EMD certification is required
• Prior experience in a supervisory position preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong leadership skills
• Expertise in Customer Service
• Team-player with a strong focus on accountability
