About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

The Community-Engaged Teaching & Research team at Northeastern University in Boston, MA is seeking a passionate and engaged part-time temporary staff member to support the efforts of the team throughout the Fall 2024 semester. The Community-Engaged Teaching & Research team (CETR) facilitates two main areas: (1) service-learning (S-L) courses, wherein students and faculty work with community partners to reinforce and build upon concepts learned in the classroom, and (2) engaged research where faculty, community partners and students collaboratively pursue projects related directly to the impact and practice of service and community engagement or research questions that are co-identified with broader social implications. The Project Manager will be an integral part of the team and will be compensated $30/hour for 35 hours per week between late-August/early September and December 2024. This role will be primarily in-person on Northeastern’s Boston campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Support event planning and management for Partnership Orientation in September, setup Spring 2025 Partnership Orientation
  • Support event planning and management for the large group student leader meetings, our CETR Advisory Board, and our Runway to Broader Impacts program
  • Review and compile information from national and international resource networks and ensure that our materials are up to date
  • Support development & dissemination of Spring 2025 Request for Partnerships to faculty and community partner organizations
  • Support our ongoing program assessment efforts by updating, implementing, analyzing, and reporting on evaluation results.
  • Create, modify, and share marketing materials with stakeholders across Northeastern’s global network as applicable, particularly in service of Spring 2025 setup
  • Support content creation and social media management
  • Communicate regular updates with the CETR team and associated stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excel expertise (formulas, etc.)
  • Proficiency with process streamlining (specifically for course matching)
  • Data and evaluation expertise (to help with assessment processes)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in managing projects or events
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
