$25.27 – $37.90 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Under general supervision, the “Paramedic” utilizes New York State Department of Health Basic and Advanced Life Support patient care protocols to provide high quality, safe and efficient emergency medical care to patients in the community paramedic program setting as well as Emergency care and other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required: 

• High school diploma or equivalency.

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current certification by NYS-DOH as an EMT-Paramedic.
• Is currently credentialed as an EMT-Paramedic within the EMS Region to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic and must maintain your credentials for employment
• Possess a valid NYS driver’s license and pass the Driver background check.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS

Preferred:

• Community Paramedic certification (CP-C)
• ACLS / PALS
