How you will make an impact 

  • Support the coordination of compliance audits performed by the Compliance Department and Health Operations Department, conducted at the ESL Home Office and ESL-managed communities
  • Support Compliance and Privacy program education initiatives and under the direction of the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, monitor annual training completion in Workday and develop reports, as needed.
  • Support compliance, information security and privacy investigations, which includes information intake, employee interviews, report writing and closure of investigations.
  • Support, with the compliance team, ESL’s Third-Party Risk Management (“TPRM”) program to ensure consistent identification, analysis, response, and monitoring of third-party risks, incidents, and vulnerabilities
  • Assess new vendor relationships to identify specific risks that should be evaluated and monitored; initiate evaluations as needed
  • Work with ESL business units, internal teams, and third-party vendors to achieve program requirements while enabling the business to make decisions regarding risk mitigation
  • Manage the NAVEX Ethics Point database, the Compliance Department incident tracking and hotline system, including case entry, case updates and case closure; develop reportable metrics for quarterly Compliance Committee
  • Partner with the Compliance Department to conduct HIPAA related compliance activities to include the HIPAA walk around and provide guidance, under the direction of the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, for ESL -managed community documentation coordinators as applicable 

Compensation: $80000.00-$95000.00 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus

What you will need

  • Experience working in a healthcare compliance or legal position for a minimum of four years
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn, federal and state regulatory requirements related to healthcare privacy, security and compliance, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, new State privacy regulatory requirements, federal billing, coding and documentation requirements, Stark and Federal False Claims Act.
