Background
Oxfam in Africa (OiA) embodies the African philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because we are” – with
deep purpose and conviction. This ethos reflects our commitment to community, solidarity, and the
collective wellbeing of both current and future generations. Our identity as Oxfam in Africa is rooted
in the belief that collective action leads to more meaningful and lasting impact. We work as a unified
platform that brings together all Oxfam stakeholders on the continent, including Country Offices in
their various forms, Regional Clusters such as Southern and North Africa, the African Union Liaison
Office in Addis Ababa, as well as existing and emerging African affiliates like Oxfam South Africa. The
Africa Platform acts as a regional coordination and management structure that fosters collaboration
and coherence across our work, aligning with the broader vision of Oxfam on the continent. Central
to our approach is building and nurturing strong, principled partnerships. We are intentional in
engaging diverse actors to enhance our legitimacy, credibility, and trust as a partner of choice.
Guided by feminist values and a commitment to decolonising our ways of working, Oxfam in Africa is
redefining how we stand in solidarity with African people and institutions in the pursuit of justice,
equality, and lasting change.
Project narrative reports serve as a critical tool for documenting the progress, achievements,
challenges, and lessons learned throughout the lifecycle of a project. They offer detailed insights into
how activities have been implemented against set objectives, provide accountability to donors and
stakeholders, and support learning and adaptive management across project teams. However, while
narrative reports are rich in information, they can often be dense and text-heavy, limiting
accessibility for a wider audience. Visualising these reports through illustrations, infographics, and
simplified layouts enhances comprehension and engagement. It transforms data and key messages
into easily digestible formats, making it possible to communicate complex information more clearly
to diverse stakeholders including community members, policy actors, donors, and the general public.
Objective
The objective of this assignment is to convert 2.6 years of narrative reports of a Conrad N. Hilton
