Your Impact

We are searching for an experienced content creator and editor to help us polish and uplevel security research content and ensure it will be understood by everyone, from security hobbyist to c-suite executive. This position will collaborate with a world-class team of security researchers, analysts, engineers and incident responders to improve content, publish it externally and amplify it across social to reach its intended audiences. The right candidate will be excited to generate their own security-oriented content, from tweet to podcast to newsletter, to aid in Talos’ overall communication strategy.

• Edit and polish all external-facing and high stakes content, written by a variety of contributors, including highly technical and ESL authors, for structure, clarity, style and accuracy
• Manage written style guidelines and enforce standards across the organization
• Uplevel and reformat technical content for a variety of audiences
• Work in a matrixed team setting, crafting new content as a member of the creative team while collaborating with the marketing team to achieve joint objectives
• Build, brainstorm, write and edit original content for a weekly security newsletter and as a contributing blog author
• Manage CMS content curation, organization for the Talos blog and throughout Talosintelligence.com
• Assist in managing social media accounts and share published content to channels
• Produce multimedia content in the form of videos, podcasts for Talos broadcast channels
• Use an analytics-based approach to monitor content performance and make strategic content marketing decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience writing and editing content in a professional environment
• Strong knowledge of AP Style guidelines
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or communications or related fields
• Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter

Preferred Qualifications:

• A working knowledge or strong curiosity about cybersecurity, or a background that includes working with complicated technical content
• Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Audition and InDesign
• A background that includes video or podcast production
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-starter with the ability to create relationships across an organization
• Excellent organization and project management skills
