- This position is for the School of Nursing. Must have a current RN License/BS in Nursing.
Job Summary: The Contract Teacher provides instruction for select courses in the hiring department. Performs other duties as assigned. This position will pay a minimum of $144 for each classroom hour.
Education and Experience: High School Diploma required. Educational degree requirement, other than high school diploma, varies depending on program. Minimum one year of experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: License/Certification requirement, if applicable, varies depending on the program.
