In August of 2016, four of North Carolina’s top orthopedic practices teamed up to provide the highest level of patient-centered orthopedic care. Emerge Ortho’s Brunswick Medical Office building is conveniently located and is a comprehensive facility offering advanced orthopedic and spine care, Interventional pain management, diagnostic imaging and complete therapy services in one location. EmergeOrtho’s also has highly trained specialists that provide the complete range of orthopedic care in our Brunswick Forest location.

Wilmington Health Ambulatory Surgery Center
The Wilmington Health Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) strives to provide excellent patient care in a safe environment. Through the ASC, we can perform same-day preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. Our surgeries vary across several specialties and are generally less complicated than procedures requiring hospitalization.
Our providers complete ASC procedures using local anesthesia, or a combination of sedation and local anesthesia, to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. These physicians are board-certified and credentialed at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Wilmington Health Ambulatory Surgery Center (Wilmington Health ASC) has partnered with North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) for anesthesia services for the outpatient services at the facility.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient’s physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
