Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

An acceptable level of education/experience could be viewed as being equiv. to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience. Master’s degree in second language teaching, TESL or related discipline. Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level. Previous experience teaching this course or an equivalent ESL course. Experience with team-teaching. TESL Certification or equivalent.

Please note:

This course is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.

Professors teaching the same section mutually agree upon teaching schedules. In circumstances of limited sections on offer and/or conflicting schedules among professors, the unit reserves the right to select professor teaching days for a given section.

Schedule: Mon & Fri 2:30 – 4:00 PM
