Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst (Active IRS MBI Clearance Required)Location: RemoteClient: IRSJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting our organization’s computer systems and networks from security breaches and attacks. You will analyze and mitigate potential threats, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing and enforcing security policies and compliance with relevant regulations.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that security policies are understood and adhered to across the organization.
- Investigate and respond to security breaches, including malware incidents and data breaches.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate security solutions to mitigate identified risks.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
- Provide training and support to employees on security awareness, policy compliance, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
- [X]+ years of experience in cyber security or information security roles.
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Proficiency in using security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) are a plus.
